Overview

The Maximum Pilot View Kit (MPVK) revolutionizes pilot visibility and safety during demanding missions – with a 10× improvement in vertical visibility and a completely unobstructed view below and to the right of the aircraft. Designed for the H125 / AS350 platform, it combines:

  • An enlarged floor window (350% bigger than standard)
  • A full carbon bubble door
  • A foldable step-in board
  • Optional sliding window
  • Optional removable lower window

The Problem

External load operations (logging, firefighting, SAR, EMS, construction etc.) require constant downward and sideward view – which the standard AS350 cockpit does not provide.

Known solutions (bubble doors, mirrors, window cutouts) fall short due to:

  • Obstructed view to the load
  • Dependency on radio communication with ground crew
  • Pilot fatigue
  • Limited headspace and safety concerns in poor visibility

The Solution: MPVK

  • 10× improved visibility – vertical and sideward
  • 25 mm more helmet space – more comfort and headroom
  • Lama-like view in the Ecureuil/Squirrel
  • No structural modifications required
  • Certified safety – STC approved
  • Increased efficiency and reduced insurance costs (up to -15%)

Folding Step-In Board

  • Retractable and pilot-operated
  • Helps with visibility and access to bubble window
  • Enables fast switching between passenger and utility flights

Sliding Window (optional)

  • Positioned at pilot head height
  • Provides fresh air & emergency defogging

Removable Lower Window

  • Can be quickly removed by the crew and stored
  • Helps in high heat (fire missions), rain or low sun conditions
  • Eliminates reflections, fogging, and visual distortion

Current Status

  • MPVK is fully certified and in use worldwide
  • “Door Phase 2” certification is in progress
  • → Will allow flying with both doors removed
  • → No changes to the MPVK needed – only certification update
  • → Applies automatically to all existing kits

Approved by:

  • EASA – Europe
  • FAA – USA
  • TCCA – Canada
